WHAT IS IT?

In celebration of our inaugural year, the Camino Institute is offering a discounted International Seminar specifically designed for young men between 18-30. Camino’s mission is to invite clients to Travel with Purpose, Disconnect to Reconnect, Focus on What Matters, and Be of Service. Through individual and group reflection and discussion grounded in the principles of Ignatian Spirituality, this weeklong Seminar will focus on how young men can:

•    build habits of discernment

•    deepen self-knowledge

•    clarify goals and aspirations

•    form mature relationships

•    confront obstacles

•    recover from failure

•    deepen spirituality

•    achieve excellence

•    lead balanced lives

These reflective components will complement service to the community. We will spend much of our days working on meaningful service projects to help families in need, both in El Faro, and possibly also on the north coast. Additional information about the mission, vision, and ethos of the Camino Institute can be found on our website: www.caminoinstitute.com

WHEN IS IT?

Like all Camino's international programs, the Seminar is currently awaiting travel clearance related to COVID-19. Please see update video below.

WHERE IS IT?

We’ll spend 6 nights at the Camino Institute campus in El Faro in the central mountains near Jarabacoa. We will do some exploring in this mountain region in addition to our service and reflection.

WHO’S IT FOR?

This Seminar is open to young men between ages 18 (must be a high school graduate) and 30. The minimum group size is 8 clients; maximum 12. The Seminar will be led by the Camino Institute’s co-founders, Adam Baber and Paul Cumbo, potentially with assistance from one or more adjunct facilitators.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The program fee includes roundtrip airfare from Buffalo to Santiago, accommodations, project costs, ground transportation, and meals. The fee will depend upon the group size and could be as low as $1,750 per person for a group of 12, while smaller groups will have progressively higher fees per person.
