This 8-day, 7-night adventure will take you from the Camino Institute’s amazing campus in the central mountains of the Dominican Republic to the palm-lined beaches of its north coast. It’s nothing less than a pilgrimage of the mind, body, and spirit—undertaken in the company of other guys navigating the joys and challenges of young adulthood. The Camino Institute offers you a way to serve communities in need while achieving new levels of clarity about your own direction, priorities, and genuine desires.

 

Each day is built for balance and growth. We have quiet mornings for meditation and prayer, days of tough work on meaningful service projects, and adventures ranging from waterfall hikes to tropical beaches. Our evenings invite you honest, deep conversation under the stars about what matters most—we talk about navigating our personal, professional, relational, and spiritual journeys as men. Healthy meals, purpose-filled days, and genuine human connection help each guy break free from the technology, patterns, and distractions of day-to-day life back home. That sets the stage for a true journey of personal growth. Men emerge from these experiences with deeper self-knowledge, stronger faith, and greater confidence coupled with humility. 

 

The all-inclusive program fee includes everything except airfare: accommodations both in the mountains and on the coast, all meals, limited drinks, ground transportation, our top-notch curriculum developed and delivered by veteran teachers, the cost of the sponsored service projects, national park waterfall hiking excursion (weather permitting), snorkeling boat trip (weather permitting), and all taxes, fees, and tips. A few thoughts about the investment...

We recognize the Camino experience is a financial investment, as international travel can be costly. However, we encourage prospective participants to consider two things. First of all, this is in many ways an investment in yourself, and the dividends are high. Second, the cost is in line with or below other curated travel experiences such as cruises, Caribbean resort stays, ski trips, or golf trips. The YMSR comes down to approximately $350 per day (closer to $325 per day with our available discounts mentioned below) and that includes everything listed above, making it comparable to other travel investments but with the added value of supporting an important charitable project. Notably, in our followup surveys, 100% of respondents agree the experience was worth the financial investment. We have a limited pool of sponsorship funding available to help with financial challenges where needed. Payments can be made via cash, check, Venmo, Visa, or Mastercard. We are happy to set up a payment plan that works for you.
